"We raise funds essential to the success of the Ottawa Public Library in promoting literacy and lifelong learning.”The Ottawa Public Library Foundation was established in April 2002 by volunteers with the support of the city and the consent of the Ottawa Public Library. Its purpose is to raise funds essential to the success of the Ottawa Public Library, in promoting literacy and lifelong learning. We seek philanthropic donations from individuals and corporations to help maintain and preserve the Ottawa Public Library as a major bilingual public institution and a key cultural site for the city. A goal of the OPLF is to ensure that the library’s resources and programs remain freely and openly accessible to everyone.
